Banyak gerakan-gerakan serta aksi yang di lakukan baik dari kalangan Masyarakat, LSM, Mahasiswa dan bahkan Siswa-siswa dalam memperingati Hari Bumi ini. Peringatan Hari Bumi ini pada dasarnya untuk mengajak dan menghimbau seluruh maysarakat untuk peduli terhadap Bumi ini. Seperti yang kita ketahui bersama, bahwa Bumi pada saat ini sudah mengalami perubahan iklim di mana kita kenal dengan Global Warming. Dampak dari Global Warming sudah bisa kita rasakan pada saat ini seperti panas, cuaca yang berubah ubah, dan lain sebagainya. Banyak faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya pemanasan global seperti kerusakan hutan akibat penebangan liar, hasil pembakaran pabrik, dan bahkan hasil dari pembakaran kendaraan bermotor.
